Orients your children to the aquatic environment and helps them gain basic aquatic skills. Example of skills: submerge mouth, nose and ears. |

Frolicking Frogs

Helps your child gain greater independence in their skills and develop more comfort in and around the water. Active Alligators

Helps your child start to gain basic swimming propulsive skills to be comfortable in and around the water. Example of skills: tread water, combined arm and leg actions, fully submerge and hold breath. | • Can independently do front and back glides • Are comfortable in deep water • Can control their breathing while swimming on their front with their face in the water • Can independently perform alternating arm and leg actions while swimming on their front | Morning Classes: 8:55, 9:35, 10:15, 10:55 Afternoon Classes: 4:25, 5:05 |
Level 2: Primary Skills
Ages 3+ Ratio: 5:1 |
Learn the fundamentals of front crawl, back crawl, turning over while floating and water safety. This is a difficult level to pass; most students repeat class twice. | • Can fully submerge their head in chest deep water • Needs assistance while flutter kicking • Needs assistance while floating on their front or back • Can only do combined arm and leg actions while supported | Morning Classes: 8:15, 8:55, 9:35, 10:15, 10:55 Afternoon Classes: 4:25, 5:05, 5:45, 6:25 |
Level 3: Stroke Readiness Ages 3+ Ratio: 6:1 | Refinement of front and back crawl and endurance. New skills include elementary backstroke and front dives. Most students repeat class twice. | • Can swim freestyle 10 yards independently • Can do rhythmic breathing while swimming on their front • Can independently flutter kick on front and back • Can glide with face in the water, unsupported and return to a standing position | Morning Classes: 8:15, 8:55, 9:35, 10:15, 10:55 Afternoon Classes: 4:25, 5:05, 5:45, 6:25 |
Level 4: Stroke Development Ages 3+ Ratio: 7:1 | Refinement of all previous strokes. New skills include breaststroke, sidestroke and elements of the butterfly. | • Can swim 25 yards freestyle independently • Can coordinate arm stroke for front crawl with side breathing • Can tread water for 30 seconds • Can do a knee or compact dive from the side of the pool | Morning Classes: 8:15, 8:55, 9:35, 10:15, 10:55 Afternoon Classes: 4:25, 5:05, 5:45, 6:25 |
Level 5: Stroke Refinement Ages 3+ Ratio: 7:1 | Refinement of all previous strokes including breaststroke and sidestroke. New skills include open turns and springboard diving. | • Can swim freestyle and backstroke for 25 yards independently with rhythmic breathing • Can tread water for 2 minutes using any style of kick • Can dive from the pool side in a standing position • Can independently swim 10 yards of breaststroke | Morning Classes: 8:15, 8:55, 9:35, 10:15, 10:55 Afternoon Classes: 4:25, 5:05, 5:45, 6:25 |
Level 6: Stroke Refinement Ages 5+ Ratio: 7:1 | Refinement of all strokes, increased endurance and conditioning. Introduces students to competitive swimming. | • Can do an open turn/flip turn at the wall on their back and front • Can independently tread water for 3.5 minutes • Can swim continuously 100 yards freestyle • Can do the dolphin kick for 25 yards | Morning Classes: 8:15, 9:35, 10:55 Afternoon Classes: 4:25, 5:45 |

Improving Skills and Swimming Strokes Ages 18+ | Improve fundamental aquatic skills including effectiveness and efficiency of swim strokes. Improve endurance and learn safety skills. | • Are comfortable in chest-deep water • Can put face in the water • Can perform front crawl, breaststroke, and back crawl | Morning Classes: N/A Afternoon Classes: 6:25- offered session 1 & 3 |
