The Orange International Street Fair begins, using the Plaza area for site. Orange celebrates its 100th year in the Plaza.

Orange Plaza Park application for National Register of Historic Places is submitted.

Downtown Orange Business and Professional Association holds first Annual Old Towne Antique Faire in February. El Modena Branch Library is dedicated on May 23.

The film Gumball Rally uses the Plaza as a location. For one scene a vehicle crashes through a Plaza store window whose plate glass has been replaced with ‘candy glass.'
