Military Banners in Old Towne: Honoring Those Who Serve

Military Banner flying on flagpole in Old Towne Orange

Honoring Those Who Serve

As you go through Old Towne Orange, you may have noticed the patriotic banners on the light-poles that line the streets of the Plaza.  Look closer, and you’ll see a name and branch of service on every one.  They honor residents, or the immediate family member of residents, of the City of Orange who are currently on active military duty.

Our Military Banner Program is made possible through sponsorship and donations, which fund the purchase and placement of the banners.   We install the banners in May and November for a minimum of one year. They are then removed on a rotational schedule as space is needed for new banners, or if the banner becomes damaged.

Do you have a family member who is serving our Country in our Armed Forces that you’d like to honor with a banner, or are you interested in helping support our Military Banner Program?  Please click here for more information.
