Water Main Renewal Project 2017

Water Project, North Orange, 2017 project map

Our Water Division will be replacing the 50 to 60-year old water main infrastructure under the Tustin/Lincoln intersection, and in the surrounding neighborhoods to the northwest.  This project is part of our ongoing effort to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of your water for years to come.

  • Construction work is planned to begin on June 5, and we anticipate the project will take around 300 calendar days.
  • Most of the work on the local/residential streets will be done between 7 am to 4 pm, Monday through Friday.
  • There will be night work on Tustin St. and Lincoln Ave. from 9 pm to 5 am, Sunday through Thursdays.

Our contractor will be installing nearly 3.5 miles of new water pipes, meter laterals, fire hydrants, valves, fittings, and perform other miscellaneous work necessary to completing the project in a safe, timely manner.

We are working with our contractor to keep any disruptions that may be necessary for this project to a minimum.  If you live in the project area, you will receive advance notice if any short-term disruption to your water service becomes necessary, or if your driveway access will be temporarily impeded.  Any such inconveniences will be corrected at the end of the working day, and we apologize in advance.

Please contact the City of Orange Water Division at (714) 288-2475 if you have any questions.
