Update: Major County Project Starting 5/29/18

Santiago Canyon

TRAFFIC ALERT UPDATE – Major County Project, originally starting 5/21/18, has been changed to 5/29/18.

Orange County Public Works has informed us that this project's start date has been delayed until next Tuesday, May 29, due to weather related issues.

Original Information:

We have been informed by OC Public Works that they will be repairing Santiago Canyon Road starting Monday, May 21, for a project that is expected to last through mid-summer. There will be three separate project sections, spread-out over the next three months: Section 1 will run from Haul Rd. to Silverado Canyon Rd. and begins Monday. Section 2 will go from the 241 eastward towards Irvine Lake, and begin sometime in mid-June. Section 3, Jackson Ranch to Live Oak Canyon Rd., begins in early July.

The work will be take place Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 4:00 pm, and will require closures of some vehicle lanes and bike lanes. Brief traffic stops will also take place as required, so be prepared for traffic impacts if your regularly use Santiago Canyon Rd. as a regular means of travel.

This is an Orange County Public Works project, so for more information please visit or call (714) 599-0681.
