Automatic Emergency Notifications

ALERTOC

The Orange Police Department, Orange Fire Department, and the City of Orange strongly advise our residents and business owners to activate a personal account for the AlertOC Mass Notification System. The "Reverse 911" system allows your Public Safety Departments a way to quickly notify you in the event of an emergency situation, such as fires or floods.

You should be aware that it is likely that you already have at least one phone that receives AlertOC messaging. AlertOC sends notifications to any landline phone or cell phone registered to a City of Orange address via data provided to AlertOC by the major telecommunications companies. Activating an account allows you to decide how notifications are received, add email addresses and text messaging numbers, or include phones with numbers registered to other cities.
