The Orange Public Library was founded in 1885 and housed in the Orange Hotel and other locations before making its way to East Chapman Avenue with the building of the Carnegie library in 1905. As an important part of Orange city life since before the incorporation of the city, the library has continually expanded to better serve the community.
Visit the library throughout the year to celebrate and learn about the library. To commemorate the opening of the renovated and expanded Orange Public Library & History Center in 2007, we will present an anniversary event on Saturday, April 22, 2017 from 12:00 to 4:00 PM. We invite you to be a part of the celebratory open house and take a picture in our photo booth, play life-size Candyland in our Children’s Courtyard and much more!
