A street light is out.
Burnt out street lights can be reported to the Traffic Operations Center at(714) 532-6428 or click here to jump to our mail in service request form.

Are street sweeping restrictions enforced on holidays?
No, because streets are not swept on City observed holidays.

Can I get centerline tie information online?
Yes. There is an online application that allows both viewing data and downloading centerline tie sheets. Click here to launch the Centerline Tie Sheet Viewer.

You will need Adobe Acrobat reader to view the tie sheet. Please download it at www.adobe.com if you do not have it.

Can I trim or cut down my parkway tree?
No. Trees located in the parkway are City trees. These trees are trimmed according to a predetermined schedule. If you observe a parkway tree that requires trimming or notice that its roots are affecting the sidewalk, please report it to the Street Tree Coordinator at 532-6470 or click here for a request for service form that you can mail in.

How can I avoid construction zones?
For information about current construction projects, call Frank Sun in the Public Works Department Construction Management Section at (714) 744-5569.

How do I get my street light repaired?
You can report malfunctioning street lights one of two ways: either fill out the street light malfunction form online or call Traffic Operations at 532-6426. Street light checks are done once a week and repairs are typically done within 10 days of notification of the malfunction.

I need my street address repainted.
This is the responsibility of the homeowner.  Private, non-profit companies are also allowed to paint street addresses.

I need to have the colored curb repainted.
To have the curb repainted call the Traffic Engineering Division at (714) 744-5540.

I want to request a no parking zone.
A simple one page letter of request is all that is required to get the process started. Please provide us with the location you wish to have considered for no parking and a return address. The Traffic Engineering Division will conduct a traffic study and present its findings to the City Traffic Commission at one of their monthly meetings.

My sewer is plugged up, what should I do?
It is most likely, that the sewer lateral pipe which connects from your house to the sewer main on the street is clogged up or damages.  Sewer lateral is the responsibility of the home owner.  You need to contact a plumber to help you make the necessary repairs.

The pavement is damaged.
Call the Public Works Maintenance Division at (714) 532-6480.

The traffic lights are out.

There is a sewer overflow on the street, what should I do?
You should report it to the City Hall immediately.

During work hours, please call the Street Maintenance Division at (714) 532-6480.

For after hours, please call Public Works Department emergency number (714) 538-1961.

There is a water main leak on the street, what should I do?
You should report it to the City Hall immediately.

During work hours, please call the Water Division at (714) 288-2475.

For after hours, please call Public Works Department emergency number (714) 538-1961.

What happens if our street sweeping day falls on a holiday?
When a holiday falls on the day your street is scheduled for sweeping, the sweeping for that area is delayed until the following week.

Where can I obtain traffic count information?
The Traffic Engineering Division conducts city-wide traffic counts on its primary, secondary and collector arterial roads every other year. The most recent traffic counts were done in 1998. City-wide flow maps can be obtained at the Public Works counter at City Hall for a nominal fee. If all you need is the traffic volume at one or two locations, you can call Traffic Engineering at 744-5540.
