Is the Library open?
Orange Public Libraries will remain closed until further notice. Please continue to check our website for modified services that we are offering during the closure, and for information regarding a reopening date. The most up-to-date information about City of Orange services can be found on the City’s website.
What is Curbside Service?
Curbside Holds Pickup Service is available Monday – Friday, 10:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m. Please visit our Curbside Service page for detailed information about the service and how to use it.
When are my materials due and how can I return them?
Please wait until we reopen to return the library materials that you have borrowed. If you must return your materials now, there is one wall drop open near the 5-minute parking zone and Children’s Courtyard at the Orange Public Library & History Center, 407 E. Chapman Avenue.
Will fines accrue on materials I borrowed prior to the closure?
Fines will not accrue during the closure. All due dates will continue to be extended until after the Library reopens.
Materials I placed on hold are now available - how do I get them?

Are digital services available?
Yes, digital services remain available. Access eBook, eAudiobooks, and much more through our eBranch.
How do I get a library card while the Library is closed?
No card? No problem! Please visit Get a Library eCard for a digital card that gives you access to a wide variety of downloadable items.
Is the Friends of the Library Bookstore open?
The Friends of the Library Bookstore is closed, but the outdoor Friends bookshelves located outside of the Orange Public Library & History Center’s north sliding doors are stocked weekly with gently used books that you can take home. The Bookstore is not accepting donations at this time. Please do not leave unwanted materials outside of the Library.
