From Halloween books, coloring pages, and pumpkin carving patterns to easy recipes, we have plenty of spooky fun for you to enjoy at home. For those of you seeking even more ghoulish fun, we have creepy crafts and haunted halls for you to wander through on our Spooktacular day.

Saturday, October 23
1:00 – 3:00 p.m
Orange Public Library & History Center

Drop-in at the Library for thrills, chills, and treats!

Whether you’re a ghost, princess, or creature of fright, come show off your Halloween costume and pose in front of the green screen for a most spooktacular photo with family or friends. Make spooky crafts, like the Moving Eyes Mummy, or pick up Take & Make kits containing supplies for these crafts to make at home instead.

Brave souls also can enter the haunted halls in the Library – if they dare! Staff have reported hearing eerie noises and seeing mysterious shadows, so come see if ghosts and creepy creatures have moved into the Library…

*Masks required for all attendees age 2 and up. Child must be present to receive Take & Make kits; while supplies last. The haunted halls contain scary images and sounds that may not be suitable for younger children.

The Library has plenty of Halloween books for your reading pleasure! Need story books, costume or craft ideas, or just want to learn how the spookiest day of the year got its start? We’ve got it all! Click here to see some of the books you can check out.
