Families, enjoy an outdoor walk while reading a story and spending time together! Follow the signs for a fun adventure at your own pace. At the end of the journey, each child will receive a free book. Then share your photos with us by emailing them to firstname.lastname@example.org and check back to see them in our Facebook album. Sponsored by our friends from the Orange Blossoms, An Auxiliary of Assistance League of Orange, in partnership with the Orange Public Library.
* There is no need to come at the program’s starting time as the StoryWalk® is entirely self-led at your own pace. However, to receive a free book, you must complete the StoryWalk and be in line for the book giveaway by 3:45 p.m.
** For the health and safety of our patrons, volunteers, and staff, this event may be modified, postponed or cancelled due to stay-at-home or social gathering mandates. Please check back for any updates.
What is a StoryWalk®?
A StoryWalk® is a creative way for families to enjoy the outdoors while going on a reading adventure at the same time. Pages of a book are posted along a path, and you follow signs or a map to read the story along the way, page by page!
The StoryWalk® Project was created by Anne Ferguson of Montpelier, VT, and developed in collaboration with the Kellogg-Hubbard Library. StoryWalk® is a registered service mark owned by Ms. Ferguson.
"The more that you read, the more things you will know. The more that you learn, the more places you'll go."
