These fun and easy-to-make treats inspired by The Cat in the Hat are perfect for celebrating Dr. Seuss’s birthday! Not only are they healthy (fruits!), they’re also sweet (marshmallows!). Kids will love making and eating these Seuss-arific treats!

Supplies:

Bananas

Strawberries

Marshmallows

Edible marker (or try black icing)

Bamboo skewers (cut off pointy tips if desired)

  1. Prepare fruits by washing strawberries and peeling bananas.
  2. Slice the strawberries and cut off the tips to make a small cone – these will be the top of the hats. 
  3. Slice bananas into pieces. 
  4. Use the edible marker to draw Cat in the Hat faces onto the marshmallows.
  5. Layer the food. Grab a bamboo skewer and start with the marshmallow. Then order the fruit by copying the Cat’s hat – alternate the banana and strawberry slices by starting with white (banana) and ending  with red (strawberry tip).

You can also make this snack completely healthy by leaving out the marshmallows and just making hat kabobs.
