Orange is home to a beautiful mature urban forest, for which we’ve been named a “Tree City USA” by the Arbor Day Foundation for over three decades. Trees are an important part of a healthy ecosystem that offer natural shading, protection for numerous bird species, and contribute to the overall beauty of a landscape.
One of the ways Orange continues to earn its Tree City USA honor is by celebrating Arbor Day with a tree planting, which this year took place at Yorba Park. City staff planted three new Camphor trees inside the Dog Park at Yorba Park. These young trees will someday shade generations of pups and their owners, and watch over our park for generations to come. Check out this YouTube video to see the tree planting.
We hope that everyone has a chance to visit and enjoy the latest additions to our urban forest at Yorba Park, 190 S. Yorba St., Orange.
