Teen Summer Volunteer Orientation (Ages 13-18)

Teen volunteers play a very important part in our summer program. Working under the supervision of the library staff, teen volunteers may assist with children’s programs, hand out reading incentives, shelve books, and help with other duties as assigned.

City policy requires all volunteers to fill out an application, which will be available online beginning April 26. Volunteers 16 and older are required to be drug-tested and fingerprinted.

Teens must attend one orientation to volunteer for our summer program. This is one option and there are two others, each at varying days and times at each Library location. Please visit our Teen Summer Volunteers webpage to see the other orientation options. Location of attended orientation does not designate the location the volunteer will be at during Summer.

To apply, please visit the Teen Summer Volunteers webpage.

Meets in the Salter Room at the Taft Branch Library.
