General Plan
The City of Orange 2010 General Plan established a long-term vision for growth and change through the year 2030. This “blueprint” for our City specifies goals, policies, and measures to help influence physical growth and change in ways that protect our citizen’s quality of life.
The General Plan defines the City’s image and position within the region, maintains existing neighborhood values, helps commercial districts to better compete in local and regional marketplaces, and addresses environmental issues. Private individuals and businesses seeking to invest in development or redevelopment within the City also rely on the General Plan.
The General Plan addresses a broad range of quality-of-life issues and services including:
- Economic Development
- Growth Management
- Housing
- Infrastructure
- Land Use
- Natural Resources
- Public Safety
- Noise Pollution
- Circulation and Mobility
- Cultural Resources and Historic Preservation
