Lobbyist Registration Program
Ordinance No. 14-23 was adopted to increase transparency in government operations. Chapter 2.13 of the Orange Municipal Code (Lobbyist Registration and Reporting) includes provisions regarding public disclosure of the activities of individuals who influence Orange officials, creating the Lobbyist Registration Program. This program requires individuals who engage in lobbying activities (as defined by OMC 2.13.020) to register with the City Clerk as a lobbyist.
All lobbyists must register by filing a Lobbyist Registration Form with the Office of the City Clerk.
All lobbyists must renew their registration with the Office of the City Clerk within thirty (30) days of the annual anniversary of initial registration.
Lobbyists are required to submit a registration fee of $190 (Initial and Annual) per project. Fees are due with submission of the completed Lobbyist Registration form. Fees can be paid by check, money order, Visa or Mastercard.
